we hosted john novak along with alex, mike the couch, andrew the squidd mauler, quiet mike and wayne on their annual overnight adventure. we landed two large yelowfins and seven longfins before setting up for yet another uneventful night on the chunk. we had thousands of extra large squidd around the boat the entire night, one of these nights it's gonna bust wide open. back on the troll saturday morning in pea soup fog, we kanded four more longfins and our largest yellowfin. the guys could not have been anymore helpful and gracious. we ran home in flat calm seas with fourteen tuna on ice. as bob marley sings"redemption song"
The picture pretty much sums it up. We hosted what Kevin called the nicest people we have ever had. Figures. We pulled off our first tuna bite Tuesday sept 12th. We had two gaffer mahi. On the chunk we released two blue sharks. Back on the troll today we had two mega bites of bigeye and the lines crossed and the fish were gone. Bottom line we stunk on this trip for some very awesome people. Merle and carol johnson and their kids and grandson from hookset New Hampshire. Can't sugar coat this. Truth in reporting
capt's kevin and dave hosted joe and paul santos along with john and rollo september 8th. we jumped off a white marlin right away, but did manage to troll three longfins. at dusk we trolled a yellowfin but burned him off on another line. the chunk for tuna was uneventful, but we did manage to catch a 175lb mako.
